Hausman Consulting is a San Francisco Bay Area-based web design, development, and production studio. From one-page scrollers to large-scale database driven sites and everything in between, we can work together to create something engaging, functional, and beautiful.
The way every client's unique story is told has tremendous impact on the message. My clients come from extremely diverse areas - restaurants and wineries, technology companies, artists and production studios, and consultants in financial and professional services. Creating a web presence should be more than simply placing information into a template. It is about understanding what you want to say, how you want to say it, and leaving an impression on your visitors.
Hausman Consulting completed the launch of the new Luna Vineyards web site in early 2017, collaborating closely with designer Matt Wolcott of Fast Forward Creative Agency. The new site brings together all of Luna's brands, including Luna's "Black Label", "Luna Blue Label", and entire set of Portfolio Brands, including aCRISP, Lunatic, Asylum, and Arnold Palmer Wines, information about the winery, its history, how to visit, purchase wine and join the wine club, as well as information for retail trade including sales representatives and distributors.
This site features a responsive layout that works seamlessly on everything from smartphones to large-format displays. Background video provides subtle visual interest. Panoramic photos show visitors what it is like to be at the Estate or visit the tasting room.
A 2017 redesign of Moone-Tsai Wines' web site involves a photo-centric approach, easy access to information with dropdown menus, and a fully responsive design that scales whether readers are on a wide screen or mobile device.
The Moone Tsai web site defines a presence for one of Napa Valley's most extraordinary cult wineries.
Arnold Palmer's Restaurant, in La Quinta, California, wanted a refreshed web site that was easy to navigate and prominently featured reviews and photographs of Arnold Palmer.
Designed and built by Hausman Consulting, key features of the site are persistent navigation and "action buttons" for making reservations, contacting the restaurant or getting directions, and joining the mailing list, and integration with the Constant Contact API to allow visitors to add themselves to a choice of mailing lists based on their interests.
The site is also fully responsive, offering easy-to-use content on displays of all sizes.
Established in 2002, the lakefront community of Tonopalo consists of 19 fully furnished homes with a variety of different floor plans, and it is the perfect setting for the vacation of a lifetime. These three and four bedroom homes (1,700-3,000 sq. ft.) are private havens that offer a comfortable space to relax and enjoy the recreational opportunities available in North Lake Tahoe.
EZ Route 990 specializes in tax preparation and filing for nonprofits, particularly IRS Form 990-EZ.
Harmon Burstyn, CPA, wanted to modernize his original site, highlighting his impressive client list (and reviews) and showcasing some of the ways he has helped his not-for-profit clients through a variety of accounting issues. Hausman Consulting maintained the color scheme of the original site to provide continuity, while expanding its scope to show prospective clients more information about his services and experience and allowing for easy access to mobile devices.
Web developers need skills in a number of areas you might not even consider. We are designers, photographers, art directors, copywriters and editors, proofreaders, and sysadmins. I can manage any aspect of your web presence, from design and demo, programming to launch, hosting, long term updates and maintenance, failover/high availability requirements, email administration, domain registration, and DNS.
My roots in the tech industry were formed while I was a finance intern in the Macintosh Products Division of Apple Computer in the 1990s, after which I earned a degree in Economics from the University of Chicago. I am the Founder and Managing Director of Supply Chain Online, LLC, which began as a sole proprietorship in 2001 and grew into a limited liability company in 2008. I was the marketing director for Supply Chain Seminars for three years, overseeing record growth and attendance in a two-day executive training seminar series held in Palo Alto. Early in my career, I was a financial analyst in the Web Products and Cosmo Software Divisions of Silicon Graphics, Inc. Prior to SGI, I spent more than two years running quantitative models for equity analysis and fund management at an investment firm in San Francisco, where I also assisted in valuation of early-stage companies as potential investments.
My belief is that mobile sites should be clean and mobile-friendly. Regardless of platform, effects for the sake of effect are fine, as long as they aren't overused to the point of distraction from the message. The user experience is paramount. Information should be easy to find and yet, when possible, also fun to find.
